IP V4 was passed in June 2000 – and thrown in teh garbage by Microsoft 12/2000 – when they said they will NOT rewrite any code to accomodoate IP V4!!! So it stayed the same!!!!!!!
That my friend, is not true. In fact, EVERYTHING had to be redisgnend, and would not be a ISO standard anymore. IPv6 was designend later after to ensure maximum compability.

The W3 commission (World Wide Web) decided to change the IP protocol from 4 3 digit numbers (like 123.123.123.123 (which only allows numbers from 0 to 255) to 16 sets of 3 numbers numbering 0 to 255 – giving EVERY HUMAN ON EARTH – at least 10 IP numbers!! Micro$oft said NO – we will have to re-write OUR software!!! It was passed by W3 in June 2000 – and DUMPED in September 2000 – when Microsoft said NO!!!!!!!
